The Renal Scan in Acute Pyelonephritis

Abstract
|

|
The renal scan was performed of 18 cases of acute pyelonephritis. 2 cases were normal and 16 cases were abnormal uptake findings in renal scan. Among these cases, 11 cases were mottled, 4 cases were decreased, 1 case was defect uptake finding.
Conclusively, we believe that renal scan is a more sensitive index than the pyelogram for renal parenchymal lesions in the acute pyelonephritis.
